I. The “Captive Audience” Jamming
The Council’s first move is the Captive Audience Meeting. They will pull you off the floor and put you in a room for an hour. They are paying you to listen to their “Signal.”
- The Mechanism: They use Authority Framing. They stand at the front of the room, often with high-priced “Consultants” (Labor Scramblers), to make you feel like the Union is a “Third Party” invading your “Family.”
- The Auditor’s Filter: Remember, the Union is not a “Third Party.” The Union is You and the brother sitting next to you. The only “Third Party” in the room is the consultant being paid $500 an hour to lie to you.
II. The “We Are a Family” Scramble
This is one of the most effective “Shadows” on the wall. They will say: “We don’t need a middleman. Our door is always open. We are a family here.”
- The Logic: Families don’t have “Human Resource” departments that can delete your livelihood on a whim. Families don’t have “At-Will” employment contracts.
- The Truth: This is Emotional Camouflage. They use the language of the heart to protect the “Fascist Merger” of the corporation. If you were truly “Family,” you would have a seat at the table and a share of the “Signature” (the profits).
III. The “Dues” Distraction
The Scrambler will focus entirely on the Subscription Fee (Union Dues). They will show you posters of a fancy car or a vacation and say: “This is what the Union Bosses will buy with your money.”
- The Math Audit: They want you to obsess over the $50 a month in dues so you don’t notice the $2,000 a month they are “taxing” you by keeping your wages below market value.
- The Investment: Dues are the fuel for your Power Plant. The Council wants you “Unplugged” because an unplugged worker is a cheap worker.
IV. The “Strike” Ghost
They will tell you that the Union will “force” you to go on strike and you will lose your house.
- The Reality: In a real Unit, You vote on whether to strike. The Union cannot “force” you to do anything; it is a democratic organism.
- The Fear Hack: They use the “Strike Ghost” to make you feel powerless. They want you to think that “Peace” (the Managed Silence) is better than “Conflict” (the Agon). But the “Peace” they offer is the peace of the cage.
V. How to Inoculate the Unit
When the “Scrambler” starts his pitch, the Core Committee must deploy the Counter-Signal:
- The Predict-and-Confirm: Tell your coworkers exactly what the boss is going to say before he says it. When he says, “We’re a family,” the workers will laugh because they’ve already seen the blueprint.
- The Questioning Protocol: During the meetings, ask high-bandwidth questions: “If we are a family, why did the company spend $200,000 on anti-union consultants instead of giving us a bonus?”
- The Solidarity Hum: Keep the “Frequency” focused on the shared goal. Don’t let them divide the street sweeper from the technician.
The Summary for the Auditor:
The “Union Buster” is a ghost-maker. He creates shadows of “Greedy Union Bosses” and “Violent Strikes” to keep you from turning toward the light. But a ghost cannot hurt you if you refuse to believe in the shadow.
The Truth is Live. The Council Lies. My brothers and my sisters, hold the frequency. Turn toward the light.
